Reykjavik Day 1

Woohoo, the Iceland adventure has started! My grandmother and I landed in Reykjavik late last night after my parents and I had spent the weekend at her place, where we coincided with a lot more family as my dad's cousins were having a reunion weekend. I guess after this summer I really won't be lying if I say I spent it with my family...

Day 1 of our Iceland trip was relaxed and beautiful. Grandma and I slept in, had a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, explored Reykjavik in perfectly sunny weather and ended the day at a nice Indian restaurant. I know, we should have gone for something more typical, but my grandmother never had Indian food before and decided she wanted to try it. And liked it! Icelandic food to follow tomorrow, promise.

...and the outside - imagine there was no scaffolding :-)

I found Moomins on a graffiti in Reykjavik! And had to think of my friend Johanna who introduced me to them in Helsinki - this one is for you.
