As usual a LOT of things have happened over the last weeks - too many to list all of them here. So I'll treat you to some of the highlights:
- Claire's visit to BCN: my former roommate Claire came into town for a weekend full of sightseeing, sunshine and happy moments - it was great to have her here and catch up!
- Kindergeburtstag in Munich: my friends Nadja and Julia decided to bring their childhood back before their 30ies and turned their birthday celebrations into a children's birthday party complete with decorations, food and games - hilarious. Highly recommended to anyone, regardless of your age!
- Open Water PADI Diver: started my scuba diving career with a weekend in L'Estartit up north on the Costa Brava and did an intensive course of theory and dives together with other people from IESE. And am now a certified open water scuba diver! The water was cold and the sea was choppy but moving through the waters at a depth of 16m was quite an experience... Will go back as soon as the weather and water get warmer!
- Marion's visit to BCN: my dear friend Marion came to visit for a couple of days and we had a fabulous time all over Barcelona! It does make a difference whether you have known someone for 14 years or 14 months - so happy to have had her here!
- Rugby match against London Business School: IESE's girls rugby team was looking for some spare players for their friendly game against LBS' team who came to town last week. So I went to play in beautiful and warm weather and had a lot of fun! I wish rugby trainings weren't at the same time as handball - would go and play every week if I could...
- Dinners: these last week have also seen a number of dinners - from the Latin American dinner with Peruvian food to the B7 team dinner and the 2nd Year Dinner... And yet another one coming up tonight - IESE's Thanksgiving Dinner! No worries, no new clothes size needed yet.
Other than that, we have also had a lot of work as all of our group projects are happening at the same time now. So I spent a lot of time working on INTEC (Applied International Economics), BUSCIN (Business Strategies for China and India) and AMORE projects recently (Advanced Methods for Operational Excellence). Will still continue with AMORE these next days and trade sleep with Excel files. At least it's a cool name and you can tell people you've been spending all your Saturday making AMORE...
