Third day of rain in a row, even though today is somewhat different as the skies cry because Shweta is leaving for good. As she emptied her room and packed her bags over the last days we got to spend quite some time together, which I was very grateful for. Yet it wasn't until last night during her farewell BBQ (in the rain!) that I realized that after today she will really be GONE, i.e. living on a different continent. And the last two years started to flash by in front of my inner eye: the moment we met at the first MBA party at Naresh's rooftop terrace back in 2008, the entertaining moto rides to school in the mornings, Shweta's decision to trade team meetings for sleep, many yummy Indian dinners, cheerful Diwali festivities, lots of Bollywood music and dancing, cold winter nights, Shweta's freezing at 10°C ("oh my god, Eni, it's sooo cooold!"), her first steps towards a skiing career, looong conversations about literature, psychology, family and arranged marriages, Shweta's constant good humor and smiles... And now that she hasn't even been gone for two hours I already miss her. At least our flat sharing happened in a circle as Naresh philosophized when leaving earlier this week: it all started with a rooftop party and ended with a rooftop party. And in between developed a wonderful friendship that has hopefully only come to the end of its beginning...

Le ciel pleut
Fast forward: let me skip the Moscow trip, the Italy trip, the "life is amazing if you get to travel to so many exciting places with great people" feeling, the pre-graduation week in Barcelona with my family, the graduation itself and the first days post-MBA, and start with this rainy Friday morning in Barcelona.
